Studio Concept and Features
"Yoga that brings out outer and inner beauty"
Background to the establishment of the studio <br>Owner Noriko Kumakura first encountered yoga when she happened to see a sign for a yoga studio. Although she wasn't particularly looking for yoga, she intuitively felt that it would "change her life," and so began her path in yoga.
35 years later, with the desire to share the profound depths of yoga that she had continued to learn with more people, she opened Yoga Studio H&B in the natural surroundings of Hanyu City, Saitama Prefecture. She has studied with over 1,200 people to date, and has shared many realizations through yoga.
Concept/Philosophy <br>Yoga Studio H&B is not just a place to learn yoga poses, but a studio that also values the philosophy and way of life of yoga.
Our goal is to help you feel the energy of nature, return to your true self, and restore balance to your mind and body, helping you to discover inner as well as outer beauty and live a free and healthy life.
We also hope to provide a warm space where visitors can say "I'm home" and feel at ease and be themselves.

A wide range of people attend, from beginners to experienced practitioners. This studio is especially ideal for those who feel tired from their daily lives or work, or who want to face themselves. The studio is appealing in that it incorporates not only yoga poses but also classroom learning, so it can be used to approach not only the body but also the mind. We aim to be a place where those who visit the studio can feel warm in both mind and body, and spread that warmth to their homes and workplaces.
Reasons for introducing Manduka
"I want to try a yoga mat that will last a lifetime."
When I was searching for a yoga mat at the time, I was troubled by the fact that the mats I found would deteriorate after about a year.
In the midst of all this, I was attracted by the catchphrase "A yoga mat for life" and wanted to try out Manduka's yoga mat, which is what prompted me to introduce it.
Impressions after installation
"Easy to use and long lasting. The yoga mat I bought 15 years ago is still in use today!"
Unlike other mats, Manduka yoga mats are solid and stable, and I realized that they are very easy to use and long-lasting. In fact, I am still using the mat I purchased 15 years ago, and I feel that the quality is true to the catchphrase, "A yoga mat for life."
Having used it myself and experienced its benefits, I began to recommend it to my students. I have seen firsthand how using Manduka mats stabilizes poses and speeds up progress. Students have also given positive feedback, saying things like, "They're heavy, but they're not slippery and don't wear out easily, so they're easy to use," and currently 70-80% of students attending the studio use Manduka yoga mats.
I also feel that having a high-quality yoga mat helps to improve my own motivation.
